I needed to change my locks. I got them all changed but the deadbolt on my security door. I did not want to uses two keys to get into my home. So, I got the SmartKey Deadbolt. I installed it in a few minutes and 30 seconds later I had it re-keyed to the key I was using on the main house door. The is a project that can be done by almost anyone and you can re-key your lock for less than it costs to have a locksmith show up at your door.
Worth the money.

ordered two sets and installed them into were older kwikset dead bolts were removed, at a quick glance they looked the same but when I stated to install them there was more difference than what meets the eye. took twice as lang to install the first one than had expected, the second one went a little faster about an hour. but for a newer model of same manufacturer I thought it should have gone a bit easier.

This is an exceptionally good deadbolt available for a very fair price. Was easy to install, moves smoothly (both surprising given that it was installed in a door that is hundreds of years old) and looks fantastic in the subtle "venetian bronze" finish. Had heard very good things about the Kwikset brand, and so far this lock has exceeded even high expectations.
